The Red Thread | Lost in a Story : Leaving a trail to find the way home
I am interested in the traces we leave behind, whether intentionally or by accident. Hansel and Gretel dropped breadcrumbs to find their way home; Theseus followed a red thread to escape the Labyrinth. These stories inspired an artist’s residency in Cornwall:
As I walked I left a RED THREAD trail wherever I went. This has been documented with photos which have been printed and are kept safe and hidden inside a storybook, left on the shelf in the house where I stayed, waiting to be found and followed again another day.
